EECI2010 Day One.

Looks like this article is pretty old. Some of the information and/or techniques may now be obselete. Just sayin’

Canals, bikes, bridges and beards. It can mean only one thing… EECI has rolled into Leiden again for the annual European ExpressionEngine extravaganza. The geek-ometer here in the Netherlands is at max, as some of the World’s top EE developers swap stories, tips and insights for 3-days.

DesignKarma is once again in attendance, and happy to report back on day one. First up, Nate Croft gave us a humorous insight into his life at fortysevenmedia. Next, EE addon guru Stephen Lewis enthused about Test Driven Development and his unfortunately named addon Testee. Before lunch, Erskine’s Greg Wood weighed in with his thoughts on editorial design, and the day was rounded off by Ryan Masuga and Wil Linssen talking about EE and Git, before Jonathan Longnecker finished with a look at customising the publish page in EE2.

Ah, yes and beards—or facial hair generally—is still very much a feature of your EE guru. Maybe I should try for the ZZ Top look next year?

Let us help tell your story.
