For the second year running DesignKarma was asked to help with Riviera Travel's post-Christmas engagement campaign, "Jadvent" (as in January Advent). The aim was to both reward loyal tour operators, as well as increase knowledge and awareness of Riviera Travel and their catalogue of European and Worldwide escorted tours and cruises.
Riviera Travel sent out January desk calendars with scratch-off panels to tour operators across the country. Each day, tour operators were invited to scratch off another panel to reveal a holiday destination, which could then be used to enter the daily prize draw on jadvent.com. An additional 'bonus' question asked them something more specific about the Riviera Travel tour to that destination, which would encourage tour operators to read up a little on that specific tour.
DesignKarma built a basic campaign site – https://jadvent.com – to allow users to submit their answers, along with contact details. Next day, Riviera Travel would randomly select a winner from the previous days' entrants. Prizes varied from iPads, Netflix subscriptions, to free holidays. DesignKarma set everything up in December so the whole thing was automated from 00:01 on 1st January – each new daily bonus question replacing the previous one at midnight that day.
The campaign successfully engaged thousands of tour operators across the UK, further boosting awareness and sales of Riviera Travel tours during a key month.
