Online Sales up 49% Over Christmas

The Mastercard payments network, along with survey-based estimates for other payment forms (cash, check...) found that US retail sales excluding automotive and gasoline jumped 3% over the Christmas period. Ecommerce accounted for 20% of overall retail sales, compared to 13% the previous year.
